Mel first discovered yoga in 2013. At 25, she had finally discovered a form of exercise she actually enjoyed!
She soon realised the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of this ancient practice. It is her absolute pleasure and joy to now share these benefits with others.
She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Stefan Camilleri Yoga in 2018. Further trainings include Chair Yoga, anatomy and physiology, yogic philosophy, chanting and meditation. She is also a Yoga Detour-Informed Teacher.
Mel creates an atmosphere of curiosity in her classes with play, exploration and joy. She wants every person to discover that they have the capacity to be strong and resilient in both body and mind. When attending her classes, you’ll always feel comfortable to move in ways that best serve you.

Bronwyn was part of our yoga community for two years as a student before we were lucky enough to have us join our team.
She re-discovered the benefits of movement and mindfulness after having her second child. She is raising (and homeschooling!) two daughters with her husband on a small hobby farm in the Wheatbelt.
Bron’s passion for yoga and the Stone’s Throw community exudes from every pore! You’ll hear from her occasionally throughout your time at the studio. She loves answering your questions, getting your feedback, and helping you decide which classes and memberships are best for you.
When she’s not at the studio, you’ll find her gardening, hiking and selling her homegrown bush bouquets via Bronwyn’s Blooms.

After challenging health circumstances, Lauren longed to feel more empowered in her body. She was deeply moved by yoga and its ability to cultivate presence and compassion, regardless of how she arrived on her mat.
She has qualifications in Alignment Based Vinyasa, Yin, Prenatal and Postnatal yoga. She’s also taken Advanced Yoga Training in Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and Body Image.
Her classes are a container of safety for you to explore whatever you need. They’re heart-centred, playful, creative, and music driven; while also being functional, and informative. She doesn’t take herself too seriously, and loves to laugh!
She admits it’s a dream come true to build genuine connections with communities. Her mission is to provide you many tools to soften your journey.

Teacher
Helen fell in love with yoga at the age of six when her mother dragged her along to a class. Since that day she dreamed of becoming a Yoga teacher.
She is a tea and gin-drinking practitioner who lives in the Perth hills with her two teenage daughters. She loves to laugh (mostly at herself), and talk about philosophy, the meaning of life + death, far away galaxies, adventures, fears and failures. She hopes that after living a full and happy life she dies of laughter!
Helen is equal parts science and woo-woo. Her training combines Neuroscience, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Reiki and Yoga. She specialises in trauma, anxiety and pain management, and finds Yoga to be a powerful tool to assist in healing mind, body and soul.

After spending her childhood in a ballet studio, Linda started practising yoga in 2002. She was drawn to find a movement practice that was more forgiving and nourishing, for both body and mind.
She completed her 350 hour yoga teacher training while on maternity leave. She’s since trained in prenatal, postnatal, children’s and yin yoga. She is also a postnatal doula and peaceful parenting educator, with a passion for working with parents and caregivers.
Linda teaches a gentle, nurturing style of yoga which cultivates freedom of movement, connection to body and breath, and self-compassion.

Creche Carer
Erin has been part of the Stone’s Throw Yoga team since we opened in January 2020, providing our invaluable creche service.
She’s a Mundaring local and a domestic goddess, performing home duties whilst raising her own wildling, Elyza.
Erin is a qualified childcare worker and the kids who join the creche love spending time with her. They read books, draw pictures, do puzzles and sometimes even play with the coveted play-doh! She’s very skilled at helping kids settle in, and provides a warm and friendly place to land while their parent enjoys the class in the next room.
