Terms and conditions

General conditions

  • Guests must comply with the venue guidelines.
  • Guests must be at least 18 years of age to attend the retreat. Guests under 18 may be allowed to attend, provided they are accompanied by a guardian 18+ years old and are approved by Stone’s Throw Yoga prior to booking.
  • Any damage to venue property or belongings is the responsibility of the guest.
  • Refunds or credits are not offered for guests arriving late, leaving early, or missing any activities for any reason.

Payments

  • A $350 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking in order to secure your place.
  • Final balance is due by 25th February 2024 and you will be invoiced two weeks prior. Failure to make payment by this date may result in forfeiture of your place and deposit, and may be subject to further cancellation charges as per the table below.
  • Bookings made after the 25th February 2024 must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • Early bird pricing is available until the 31st January 2024. Your deposit must be paid prior to this date to claim the early bird pricing.
  • Payment by credit card incurs a 1.75% service fee.

Cancellation by you

Due to our commitment to accommodation and workshop providers, we cannot make any exceptions to the below cancellation fees. We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover you in case you need to cancel.

Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. Your cancellation will take effect as of the day you provide this written notification. The non-refundable $350 deposit will be retained in all circumstances.

If your cancellation is made within eight weeks of the retreat start date, further cancellation charges apply as per the schedule below:

  • From 8th March – 21st March (inclusive): 50% of the retreat cost
  • From 22nd March – 4th April 2024 (inclusive): 75% of the retreat cost
  • From 5th April 2024 onwards: 100% of the retreat cost

Alternatively, you may transfer your place and payments to another person of your choice. If you have not paid for the retreat in full at the time of transfer, any outstanding payments must be paid by the transferee.

Transfer requests must be made in writing, and are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

Cancellation or postponement by Stone’s Throw Yoga​

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the retreat should there be extenuating circumstances beyond our control, including if our minimum number of attendees have not been met.

If the retreat is rescheduled or cancelled for any reason, you will have three options available to you:

  • Transfer your booking to the rescheduled date
  • Receive a credit for the amount you have paid towards any services or retail items at Stone’s Throw Yoga
  • A full refund of the amount paid

Travel insurance

Due to financial commitments to our accommodation, caterer and workshop providers we cannot make any exceptions to the above cancellation fees. We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance that covers cancellation of your booking for any reason. This should include falling ill with COVID-19 and being unable to travel or participate in the retreat.

Please note that not all insurers cover cancellations due to COVID-19, so ensure you check your policy carefully. Most insurers also require that you obtain the policy at least 21 days prior to your trip.

Retreat and accommodation expectations

By booking the retreat, you understand that the free time scheduled is rest and recharge time for you and also the retreat organisers. It is up to you to decide how to manage this time for yourself.

If you book any shared accommodation options as an individual, you understand that you will be paired with another attendee who you may not know. You acknowledge and agree to be kind, caring and accommodating to anyone who you share with. You also acknowledge that you may have to make some concessions and compromises to ensure that both you and your room partner have an enjoyable retreat experience.

Not included

  • Travel to and from the venue
  • Travel insurance, should you choose to obtain it
  • Any activities not in the inclusions list you may choose to explore
  • Any food or drinks outside of our provided catering

Complaints

If you have any concerns during your retreat, please let us know immediately. Your happiness and comfort is important to us and we’ll do our absolute best to resolve any reasonable issues for you.

Conduct

Guests who are deemed to be acting in a way that is inappropriate to the local environment, our team, the on-site staff or other guests will be requested to stop. If the inappropriate conduct continues, we may prevent the guest from participating in the retreat activities, and no refund or credit will be provided.

Inappropriate conduct includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, aggressive behaviour and violence, repeatedly disruptive behaviour, consuming excessive alcohol or drugs, sexual harassment or other behaviour deemed inappropriate by our team. It also includes unwelcome behaviour that intimidates, offends or humiliates a person because of a particular personal characteristic such as age, race, gender, disability, religion or sexuality. No refund will be given in this circumstance.

Photography release

In booking, the guest agrees that photographs and video will be taken during the retreat, which will be used by Stone’s Throw Yoga for promotional and marketing purposes.
